QUALITY POLICY OF THE I.P.P. "RELIGIOUS AND PILGRIMAGE TOURISM"

The quality policy of the I.P.P. "Religious and Pilgrimage Tourism" is fully aligned with the quality policy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The Programme aims to deliver a high-quality postgraduate curriculum, training graduates capable of contributing to the academic study of religious and pilgrimage tourism. Moreover, it seeks to enable them to provide high-quality professional services as competent executives in organisations related to the Programme's fields.

The Programme focuses on the following main quality objectives:

  • Provision of a high-quality postgraduate programme, ensuring specialisation in the field of Religious and Pilgrimage Tourism. Emphasis is placed on an interdisciplinary approach, the study and analysis of sources (texts, monuments, places), and the production of new knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the research methodology required by both the theological and tourist scientific approach of the subject in theory and practice.
  • Interdisciplinarity, mandated by the nature of the subject, and the adoption of findings related to the programme's subject from international scientific and technological developments.
  • Extroversion and connection with public and private sector bodies interested in the subject, along with the dissemination of knowledge to society through educational events and social communication channels.
  • Rational distribution of workload and student-centred learning.

The quality policy is implemented through:

  • The commitment to comply with the legal and regulatory framework of the Institution.
  • Implementation of quality procedures and objectives in all areas: structure and organisation of the programme, teaching work, teachers, labour market and relevant acquired qualifications, infrastructure and services. Internal evaluation aims at the continuous upgrading and improvement of the I.P.P.
